Chris Solaris

Chris Solaris, a key figure in Norway's electronic music scene, is renowned for his minimalist aesthetic and fluid connection with audiences. His DJ alias, a tribute to Photek, reflects his early inspiration. Active since 2001, Solaris co-founded the Beat Foundation collective in Trondheim before moving to London in 2004. There, he refined his style and expanded his sonic horizons, collaborating with artists like Kopernik and Karl Fraunhofer. In 2008, he returned to Norway and teamed up with Tod Louie to establish Det Gode Selskab, a collective encompassing a residency, label, and festival. Today, Solaris runs the Det Gode Selskab record label and event series, which has garnered international support. His unique approach to DJing and production, shaped by influences like Lee Burridge, Halo, and Hipp-e, is evident in his releases such as "Song For Bjørn (Chris Solaris in color mix)" and "Chris Solaris - Velo" from 2025.

Chris Solaris played in Wintergarten at Sisyphos Sommersonnenente on 13 July 2026.
