Electric Indigo, an Austrian electronic musician and DJ active since 1990, is renowned for her intelligent interpretation of techno and experimental music. With a career that began in Vienna in 1989, she worked at Hard Wax record store in Berlin from 1993 to 1996. In 1998, she founded female:pressure, an international database for female, non-binary, and transgender artists in electronic music and digital arts. Her compositions and live performances often incorporate speech recordings, emphasizing spatial-temporal sound placement. Electric Indigo's recent releases include "Modular Expansion Podcast #125" (2020) and "Ferrum" (2020), both on Editions Mego, showcasing her work in techno, broken beat, electro, experimental, ambient, and IDM genres.
