Electric Indigo

Electric Indigo, also known as Christina Kubisch under her full name, is a versatile artist working in the realms of music, composition, and DJing. Her work showcases an intelligent interpretation of techno and electronic music. Starting her DJ career in Vienna in 1989, she later worked at Hard Wax record store in Berlin from 1993 to 1996. In 1998, she founded female:pressure, an international database for female, non-binary, and transgender artists in electronic music and digital arts. Her compositions and live performances often incorporate subtly elaborated sounds and structures generated from speech recordings. Electric Indigo's musical style encompasses a blend of techno, electroacoustic, experimental, ambient, and IDM genres.
