Berlin-based electronic music producer and DJ, Jacob Phono, is renowned for his dynamic blend of Romanian Minimal, Breakbeat, and low-fi Detroit Techno. His productions have consistently charted on Beatport's Minimal and Techhouse charts, with releases on labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Bedrock Records, Plastic City, Highgrade, and Noir Music. Jacob Phono's sound is characterized by complex grooves, hypnotic soundscapes, and polyrhythms, often accompanied by a melancholic edge of harmonic melodies and vocal elements. His DJ sets have captivated audiences at respected venues in Berlin and worldwide, including Berghain/Panorama Bar, Club Der Visionaere, Tresor, Wilde Renate, Sisyphos, Golden Gate, Kater Blau, and more. In addition to his productions and DJ sets, Jacob Phono is also the manager of his self-conceived record label, Collage Audio. His latest releases include "Contemplation," "Borderline," and "CONTROL (RAW)" from 2023.
