Julian Reca is a Barcelona-based DJ with a penchant for African American music styles. His career began spinning 45s in the city's soul and rhythm & blues scene. With a focus on black beats, he continually seeks new sounds to create a versatile vibe on the dance floor. Since 2016, Reca has co-run Reel to Reel, a dance club based in Barcelona with roots in London. The club specializes in the soulful side of advanced dance music, featuring high octane Disco, crazy-ass synths, boogie funk, and unlimited cool. Reca is known as a 'local scene activist' and a long-time supporter of club culture preservation. He has played at various renowned parties in Barcelona, including Glove Party, DROP, Freedonia club, among others. Cities such as London, Manchester, Liverpool, Zurich, Luzern, Milano, NY, and Buenos Aires have also been captivated by his booty-shakin' tunes.
