Kenji Tanaka is known for improvised live techno, blending elements of deep and acid techno with a raw, energetic edge. His performances often feature a combination of self-prepared loops, creating a dynamic and unpredictable soundscape. As a member of the "Bonker Squad" collective, Tanaka is part of a larger community of artists advocating for democracy and freedom within the techno scene.

Kenji Tanaka played in Hammahalle at Sisyphos Dia De Muertos on 3 November 2025, Georgie‘s Endendaans on 7 April 2025 and in Tanzwüste at Fusion festival 2025.
