Steve Huerta, a key figure in the house music underground, has been honing his deep, groove-based sound since relocating to Berlin over a decade ago. His productions blend old school tech house funkiness with lush technicolor sound design, earning him releases on esteemed labels like Slow Life, SlapFunk, and Small Hours. Since launching his own label, Leizure, in 2020, Huerta has consistently delivered club gems, while also exploring downtempo, ambient, and breakbeat textures on albums such as Junipero (2020) and TV Slang (2023). His versatile sound appeals to both big room and living room listeners. As a DJ, Huerta's signature style shines through with his collection of dusty digs, custom edits, and original productions. In a crowded clubland landscape, he stands out as a unique figure, demonstrating an intimate understanding of house music's past, present, and future.
