TheRuffcats, an eight-piece live band from Berlin, are renowned for their heavy funk and progressive soul stylings. Known as the studio and backing band for German soul shouter Flo Mega, they have collaborated with various artists such as Bajka, Jaguar Wright, and Ladi6. With influences ranging from hip-hop, soul, psych, jazz, Sa Ra Creative Partners, Dilla, Manfred Krug, Can, to UK future bass, The Ruffcats' debut album "The Essence Pt.1" showcases their unique blend of new grooves played in an analogue manner.
