EL MELÓMANO ALEMÁN

El Melomano Aleman, also known as Tonton Sculp, is a Berlin-based artist with a passion for Latin American music. His journey began in 2008, inspired by weekly visits to a Kreuzberg bar hosting a Latin night. The teachings of Tio Chango, a former member of La Chusma, introduced him to the historical and cultural background of Salsa, Cumbia, and other genres. In 2017, he embarked on a journey to Colombia, seeking the origins of the music he loved. His interest in Salsa music deepened, leading him to focus on contra rhythms. Today, his sets and mixes showcase a variety of Latin American genres such as Guaracha, Salsa, Salsadura, Salsagolpe, Guaguanco, Heavysalsa, salsapesada, guajira, chachacha, charanga, Son Montuno, and more.
