Berlin and Lisbon-based DJ and producer Hypnotic Black Magic is recognized for their ritualistic, trippy, and uplifting sets that transport audiences on euphoric journeys. As the head of Art Bei Ton label and event series since 2018, they have shaped the scene with hypnotic sounds, psychedelic visuals, and gender-balanced lineups. Inspired by nostalgic and avant-garde electronic music since their teenage years, Hypnotic Black Magic's musical taste revolves around hypnotic techno, atmospheric ambient, psychedelic sounds, and IDM/tribe. Their sets feature loopy patterns, dreamy pads, groovy rhythms, and trancey basslines, aiming to guide the audience through a cathartic journey of obscure thoughts, meditative states, and sensual expressions. Hypnotic Black Magic has captivated dancefloors at iconic venues worldwide, including Berghain/Panorama and Tresor in Berlin, VENT in Tokyo, Gare in Porto, Ministerium in Lisbon, vurt. in Seoul, HORN in Bangkok, and Hilltop in Goa, among others. They have also performed at festivals such as MO:DEM, Chateau Perche, Monument, and more. In 2025, they released the EP 'Passages' on Art Bei Ton, followed by their album 'Ending The Curse' in March 2026. They have also contributed tracks to several VA compilations.
