Stephen Paultaylor, a Canadian artist, emerged from Prince George with a deep affection for Eighties synth-pop, evident in his musical style. After graduating from Emily Carr Art University, he chose music over filmmaking and became a full-time musician in 2009 as part of the duo Trike. In 2013, he branched off solo, gaining viral fame with "EKSF." His discography includes albums such as "Synthpop is Dead" (2021) and "People Tonight" (2016), showcasing his commitment to the synth-pop genre. His latest single, "Craving My Affection," released in 2023, explores themes of obsession and desire, influenced by Synthwave and The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights." His upcoming single features prestigious collaborators Preston Heyman (Kate Bush's drummer) and Derrick McIntyre (Jamiroquai).
