House of Molly, a London-based duo, are known for their punk-infused disruptions and unapologetic embrace of Blackness and queerness. Formed in 2022, the duo, consisting of Mel and Holly, combines dance music with a touch of glamour and hedonism. Their musical journey began in Ibiza, where they aimed to create three songs for DJ sets, eventually realizing their project transcended initial expectations. Their sound, primarily categorized as House, is a testament to their solid musical backgrounds. Mel focuses on producing and teaching, while Holly excels in toplining and touring. House of Molly's creative space is not limited to the duo; it extends to collaborations with artistic friends in photography, videography, graphic design, and choreography. Inclusivity is a cornerstone of their work, both in the studio and in their DJ sets, which are accompanied by bespoke visuals. As mixed-race women who felt displaced growing up in Britain, House of Molly serves as an antidote, offering a welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds.
