Mat.Joe, a DJ and producer from Berlin, Germany, began as a duo with Matthias Neitzke and Johannes Schulz in 2006. Their music reflects a deep connection to rap, breakdance, and skateboarding, evolving over the years into a unique blend of house beats, rhythmic soul, and hip-hop elements. Since February 2024, Matthias has continued the project as an individual. In 2021, they co-founded the Berlin-based artist collective and imprint Prima, and in June 2025, Matthias established his own label La Bamba.
