Robert Owens

Robert Owens, a prominent figure in house music, is a vocalist, DJ, producer, and label owner. Born in Ohio in 1961, he collaborated extensively with Larry Heard in the mid-1980s and formed Fingers Inc. with Ron Wilson. One of his most recognized features, "Tears," was with Frankie Knuckles and Satoshi Tomiie. His debut solo album, "Rhythms In Me," was released in 1990. Currently, he runs Musical Directions. His recent releases span various electronic genres, including deep house, techno, tech house, and tribal house. Notable among these is "Where You At (Mixes From Various Artists)" in 2026, released on Musical Directions.
