"El Melomano Aleman," also known as Tonton Sculp, is a Berlin-based artist with a profound passion for Latin American music, particularly traditional Cumbia and Colombian folkloric rhythms. His musical journey began in 2008, inspired by weekly visits to a Latin night in Berlin Kreuzberg, where he was introduced to various genres of Latin America. Since then, his interest in Salsa music has grown significantly, leading him to travel extensively across South America and collect vinyls, with a focus on Salsa. His musical identity is characterized by a deep appreciation for Latin American rhythms, particularly contra rhythms, which have become his primary musical focus.
