James Axon

James Axon, a DJ and musician, is the co-founder and resident of Planet Love, an underground queer party. He also hosts "Hearing Color" on Dublab, a radio show airing first Wednesdays from 10pm to 12am PST. With a background in classical music as a pianist, Axon's love for house and techno grew while studying in Copenhagen and Berlin. Over the past decade, he has amassed an extensive collection of dance records. As a DJ, Axon showcases an expansive vision of dance music, seamlessly blending various shades of house, techno, italo, electro, disco, and breaks. His sets are characterized by their colorful, eclectic nature, intuitively reflecting the setting. Whether playing cosmic disco in an intimate loft or hypnotic techno in a dark foggy warehouse, Axon's sound remains distinctly his: melodic, driving, dreamy, and synth-heavy.
