Julian Reca, a Barcelona-based artist, has built a reputation rooted in African American music influences. Known for his 45s spins within the city's soul and rhythm & blues scene, he delivers a versatile vibe behind the decks, blending black beats with an exploratory approach to advanced dance music. Since 2016, Reca has co-run Reel to Reel, a dance club based in Barcelona with roots in London. R2R focuses on the soulful side of dance music, featuring high octane Disco, crazy-ass synths, boogie funk, and unlimited cool. Reca is an active figure in the local scene, advocating for club culture preservation. He has graced some of Barcelona's finest parties, including Glove Party, DROP, Freedonia club, among others. Cities like London, Manchester, Liverpool, Zurich, Luzern, Milano, NY, and Buenos Aires have also welcomed his booty-shakin' tunes.
