Tièmoko
Tiemoko, born and raised in a Parisian suburb, found solace in the Boom Bap Rap of the 80s and 90s to escape domestic violence. With his cousin Moussa, they spent their free time recording radio rap emissions on cassettes and covering tracks by artists like Assassin, NTM, and Sages Poetes de la Rue. At 14, Tiemoko began writing his own lyrics and co-founded the group Harcelement Textuel in 1995. Known for their freestyles in the metro and Les Halles, they gained recognition during the golden age of French hip hop. They collaborated with DJs such as Cut Killer, Goldfingers, Poska, and more. Tiemoko left the group in 2002 and embarked on a solo career. He released three underground albums and worked with artists like Sly Johnson from Saian Supa Crew, Dj Coshmar, Kaytranada, and others. Tiemoko is currently working on his retrofuturistic project, set to release in 2025. His previous albums include "Tiemosphere" (2022), "La Mixtiem" (2018), "Artiste Peintre" (2011), "Street Tape" (2011), and "Le Mokostyle" (2009). Tiemoko's music blends elements of rap, hip hop, and urban styles, showcasing his unique artistic identity.
