The Roots Daughters, founded in 2009, are a duo of dedicated soundsystem enthusiasts and roots music aficionados, originally from Pula, Croatia. After relocating to Berlin in 2013, Julie continued their mission, later joining forces with Jahminta Zulu from Vintage Night Cologne. Inspired by Rastafari and Jamaican soundsystem culture, their sessions embody a shared space for vibes, knowledge, skill development, and empowerment. As passionate vinyl collectors, they offer a comprehensive Reggae Music experience, showcasing its foundations to recent releases. Regularly organizing events, they aim to provide a platform for female activists in the scene and pay tribute to historically underrated female artists, advocating for equal rights and justice for all.
